Salvation

1. "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" | Romans 3:23
Man Has a Problem, and That Problem is Sin.

2. "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." | Romans 6:23
Sin Has Wages (A Paycheck): If You've Sinned (Broken Even One of the Ten Commandments), Your Wage is Death.

Death means: 1] Physical Death, and 2] Spiritual Death (spiritual separation from God after death: eternity in the lake of fire)

3. "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." | Rom 5:8
The Good News is That God Doesn't Want You to Pay for Your Sins, Because He Loves You

4. What Should You Do to Be Saved? Nothing! Believe on the Finished Work of Christ (His Death on the Cross). After Jesus died, he was buried, and lay in the grave for three days. Then God raised Him from the dead, proving His authority over death and hell!

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." | Romans 10:13

God wants us to be saved so much that He not only foresaw the problem (sin), but planned to give us a way of escape (from the wrath). This way is found in Jesus Christ alone (if you add anything to this, you are boasting yourself to be your own Savior)! In John 14:6, Jesus stated that no man can come to the Father (in heaven) but by Him. He is the only way to salvation and eternal life in heaven.

Wherever you are, whatever you have done in your life, God is never too far away or too angry at sin to hear the cry of a sinner who comes to Him ready to exchange a life of sin for the righteous life of His Son. You can pray to Him, telling Him of your desire to be saved. There are no magic words, and that is why I will leave the wording to you.

Speak from your heart, be sincere, confess your sin, and give Him your life. Tell him thank you for the gift of Jesus, His Son, and ask Him to send His Holy Spirit to come into your heart so you will be born again as He commanded. He promises that he will not cast away anyone who comes to Him.

The Devil Will Tempt You to Put Off Salvation

After Death, We Must Stand Before God and Be Judged. We Don't Know What Day That is, So Make Sure You're Ready for Judgment Day by Getting Saved Now.
"And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
"Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead."
| Acts 17:30–31

"Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God." | 2 Corinthians 5:20

If You Just Got Saved

"For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." | 2 Corinthians 5:21

Isn't this verse amazing?

Christians sometimes call salvation justification, which means that God put all our sin on Christ's account, and all Christ's righteousness on our account (just as you read in the Bible verse above). Even though, after salvation, we will still commit sin and literally we still deserve the lake of fire, God promises in his word (Romans 10:13) that he will hear us and grant our (and His) desire when we call upon Him for salvation. This is because God has set His terms in His Word and by calling on Him (in prayer) we are agreeing with His will and obeying His Word. When we accept His promise of salvation and submit ourselves under Christ as our Savior, He writes our name in the Book of the Lamb.

If you have received Christ after reading this, you have been born again in your spirit and God calls you his child. But that isn't all! There's a lot more to know about how to please God now that you have given your life to Him. This can be called Sanctification (sanctified, or set apart for God).
